Filtered Vows goes beyond the actual wedding day as their plans include multiple personalized Snapchat Geofilters for events leading up to the wedding and even after for the honeymoon! The design team at Filtered Vows works personally with each customer to create one-of-a-kind filters based on how the couple met, wedding theme, color scheme and personalities. Not only is the design process fun for the couple, but friends and family have such a great time adding and sharing the Snapchat Geofilters for each occasion!

What inspired the start of the company and when did it launch?

In early 2016, our VP of Sales and Marketing, Cody, and I were watching a video on YouTube about utilizing Snapchat Geofilters for businesses. We started brainstorming ideas on how we could utilize this new technology and I got the idea that we could use this technology for weddings. We didn’t want to just make boilerplate templated wedding filters and have clients purchase them and fend for themselves. We wanted the experience to be personalized and completely custom to perfectly match their wedding and vision.

What distinguishes you from your competitors?

We believe there are four key features that separate us from our competition:

1. We provide superior, custom design to match each wedding couple’s vision and inspirations for their special day.

2. We provide personal custom service, Cody works individually with each client starting with a one-on-one phone call for onboarding all the way to complete Snapchat management.

3. We handle all of the submissions to Snapchat for the clients.

4. We create and design pop-up easels for each client with their own Snapchat ghostcode on it along with Snapchat instructions on how to use Geofilters. What’s the point of creating Geofilters if no one knows they are live at your wedding?

What is your target demographic?

Our core demographic is engaged females ages 18-37, but our service can target any individual with an upcoming wedding or a friend or family member looking to purchase a wedding gift.

What is your traditional seasonality and are there any hot trends in the niche?

Filtered Vows can provide our service all year round and internationally, we can even create custom Geofilters in Australia, Canada, and the UK. Snapchat is recently catching fire in the wedding industry as we have seen a lot of the big players in the industry start to write about utilizing Snapchat in weddings. We have even been featured in an article on The Knot’s blog.

What is your favorite product and/or the best sellers on your site?

Since Filtered Vow’s service is so custom, I don’t believe there is a favorite product. What I can say is that a common misconception is that all of the custom Geofilters need to be used on one day and can’t be spread out over multiple days.

We like to inform couples that they can utilize their Geofilter package over the span of their wedding festivities. For example, they can have a filter for their bridal shower, bachelor/ bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinner, hair & makeup early morning on the wedding day, ceremony, reception, and even your honeymoon if it is in an available geolocation (USA, Canada, UK, Australia).

Why did you decide to build an Affiliate Program and what is your ideal partnership that you hope to see or build?

We wanted to build deep and personal connections with individuals and companies within the wedding and event industry. We also wanted to help others grow their Snapchat audience through the use of Geofilters and also use Filtered Vows as a resource for leveraging Snapchat for a business. Ideally, we would like to partner with individuals and companies that are passionate about what they do and are open to utilizing new technologies like Snapchat and sharing with their audiences/existing clientele.
